It happened on the anticlockwise carriageway of the motorway, between junction 25 for Bredbury and junction 24 for Denton Island at around 11.45am this morning.
Emergency services attended and initially, two lanes were closed which caused long queues to form in the area. Firefighters uncoupled the caravan from the car in order to turn it upright and helped make the scene safe, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS).
