Strathallan School wants to make a big noise about music scholar student Lewis Dewar who has been shortlisted in the top 40 of young drummers in the UK.
The 17-year-old, who is a pupil at the Perthshire school, said he was speechless when he found out he had made the top 40 in the very prestigious UK Young Drummer of the Year competition.There were more than 300 entries to Young Drummer of the Year 2022, which has celebrated rising talent for over 20 years.Lewis, who first picked up drumsticks at the age of eight, said: “It’s really, really cool.“I didn’t expect to be shortlisted at all.
