The Stranger Things writers are back at work and visualizing Season 5 after the WGA reached a fair deal with the studios. Following the production delay of the final season of the Netflix series due to the strike, writers joked about what the show will look like if SAG-AFTRA is not able to reach a fair deal with AMPTP.
Taking to their official account on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, the writers shared an animated image of Joe Keery‘s Steve Harrington. “Hope the studios make a fair deal with SAG soon or else season 5 is looking like this,” read the post.
In a follow-up post, the writers added, “FYI this is pre-vis for a scene in ep 1. So technically your first look at season 5.
We told Joe he has to perform it EXACTLY like this.” The writers were having a little fun with the fans and later explained that the “pre-vis” is a “rough animation of a scene” that they do “involving lots of VFX or complex action.” Actors continue to be on strike and talks between SAG-AFTRA and the studios are set to resume on Monday.
