Two highly anticipated shows have added content warnings to their opening episodes, as scenes may remind viewers of the tragic events that occurred in Uvalde, Texas last Tuesday.

Both Stranger Things and Obi Wan Kenobi were released days after the school shooting, and both feature scenes which involve the death of children in their opening episodes.

Netflix and Disney+ have both since addressed this, adding content warnings to their shows to let viewers know about the potentially distressing scenes ahead of time.

The Stranger Things warning reads: “We filmed this season of Stranger Things a year ago. But given the recent tragic shooting at a school in Texas, viewers may find the opening scene of episode one distressing."We are deeply saddened by this unspeakable violence, and our hearts go out to every family mourning a loved one.” Multiple versions of content warnings have appeared ahead of Obi-Wan Kenobi's opening episode in the first 24 hours since it was released, say Yahoo News.
