Strong winds are set to hit the UK tomorrow as Storm Pia arrives - with a yellow weather warning issued just days before Christmas.
Gusts of up to 70mph are forecast across a 'large swathe of the country' as the storm, named by the Danish Met Institute, takes hold.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning to come into force at midnight tonight, updating it to stay in place until 9pm tomorrow (Thursday).
It covers a large part of the UK including Greater Manchester and much of northern England, Wales, the Midlands, Ireland and Scotland.
