Stirling Wolves prepare for gruelling fortnight as Super Series continues with Heriot's fixture

It’s set to be a gruelling fortnight for Stirling Wolves who are aiming to keep up their push for the Super Series semi-finals as they continue a four-game stretch with the visit of Heriot’s to Bridgehaugh this evening (Wednesday).The second-placed Edinburgh cracks will head to Stirling full of confidence after seeing off leaders Ayrshire Bulls 49-36 on their own patch, but the Wolves are themselves coming off the high of a 78-0 try fest against the Futures last time out.The match was re-arranged for this evening after the original fixture was cancelled due to floods.

A bumper crowd is expected under the lights with free admission for all.Wolves head coach Eddie Pollock praised his side’s ruthlessness in seeing off the lowly Futures side, but admits Heriot’s will be a different challenge off a much-changed training build-up.“I was really pleased with the accuracy and speed we played at right from the start and some of the passing and lines were really good to create opportunities,” Pollock said.“There are two big games for us now with Heriot’s and then Watsonians to follow and the key will be to perform very well if we are to get the results.“We know Heriot’s are a talented team and are arguably the form side coming in after the win over Ayrshire but the guys are focused on what needs to be done; we lost to them last time after being turned over on their line where we maybe needed another phase to have a chance to win.
