It appears that there has been a subtle change in Kate Middleton's demeanour since she returned to royal duties this autumn as the Princess of Wales slowly lays plans to become Queen, it has been reported. The timeless, elegant dresses she has been known to wear in the last few years seem to be a thing of the past and instead Kate has opted to wear more tailored garments such as blazers and trousers with sharp tailoring that makes her look far more business-like.
One royal source has said that this is in anticipation of stepping up her role as Queen in waiting while showing the world she is ready for the responsibility, writes The Mirror. The source said: “Catherine has sometimes been frustrated that her style is what’s reported and commented on, rather than her substance.
She realises that what she wears can convey a huge amount in a role where she has to be very careful with what she says. But there’s been a deliberate strategy to rewear outfits and look more businesslike in what is a huge step up in her role.
She would prefer the focus to be on what she says and does, rather than on what she wears.”To mark the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s sad passing, William and Kate visited St David’s Cathedral in Wales.
