Celtic fan Sanjeev shot to fame playing shop owner Navid in the BBC smash hit comedy Still Game and has revealed how he jumped at the chance to meet his football heroes.
He told the Life with Brian podcast: “It was the 50th anniversary of the Lisbon Lions in 2017, I got a late call from the PR guys at Celtic.“They were honest about it and said, ‘cards on the table, there’s going to be a big do at the Hydro celebrating 67 but Kevin Bridges has had to pull out to do an event with Barack Obama who is in Scotland’.”He added: “I said I’d be happy to do it.
