Stewartry youngsters are in for a fright – thanks to Scottish Opera. Their primary schools production, The Curse of MacCabbra Opera House, will be coming to the district in March.
A chilling tale with a good dose of comedy, The Curse of MacCabbra Opera House features music from composer Alan Penman and lyrics from writer and director Johnny McKnight.
Children will enjoy a workshop with Scottish Opera’s team of musicians, singers and drama specialists before they put on the show – complete with costumes.
Springholm, Lochrutton and Hardgate Primaries will experience the fun on March 13, with Crossmichael, Gelston, Dalry and Kells kids taking to the stage the following day.
