Bruce Springsteen‘s guitarist Steven Van Zandt has teased more shows for the future, despite recent rumours that the music legend could soon be retiring.During a new interview with The Telegraph, the E Street Band musician and Sopranos actor responded to speculation that The Boss’ current tour may be his last. The outlet noted “a narrative vein of looming mortality” in Springsteen’s recent studio albums and live shows – but Van Zandt suggested that the 74-year-old icon isn’t done just yet.“You never know,” he said. “I mean, we treat every show like it could be the last show, and we’ve been doing that for 50 years.

But the audience is still there, and we can see them getting younger every year.”Van Zandt continued: “I don’t see the end anywhere in sight, to be honest, especially in Europe, where we’re bigger than we’ve ever been.

I think we can play every summer for evermore, man.“I love that the Stones are still out there. Because as long as they’re out there, man, we’re still the new kids on the block, right?

So I’m good with that.”A post shared by Bruce Springsteen (@springsteen)Last week saw Springsteen and the E Street Band play two huge concerts at Wembley Stadium in London, which wrapped up the UK/Ireland and European leg of their 2024 tour.In September 2023, The Boss was forced to postpone the remainder of his tour dates for that year due to a continuous battle with peptic ulcer disease.
