A superfan of Steven Gerrard launched an impassioned plea to get him installed as the next England boss but the attempt was met with resistance.The former Rangers boss was viewed as one of the brightest bosses in Britain when he swapped Ibrox for Aston Villa, however, his nightmare at Villa Park saw Gerrard head to Saudi Arabia with Al-Ettifaq in an attempt to restore his reputation.
