Steven Gerrard

Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,

Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.

Glenn Middleton could have a long-term future at Rangers after all – having disappeared from the first team over the past year.

The young wide man was surprisingly brought in from the cold on Sunday for the Betfred Cup romp over Falkirk. His rare runout saw him handed 35 minutes at left-back as he replaced Borna Barisic during the 4-0 victory.

The Scotland Under-21 ace made an immediate impression on his new boss when Gerrard arrived in the summer of 2018.He went on to make 28 appearances in total and even netted with an impressive strike in the Europa League away to Spartak Moscow as he finished the 2018/19 campaign with five goals.But things did not go anywhere near as well for him last term as he failed to impress during two frustrating.
