Steven Fletcher didn’t leave the house after his penalty miss against Killie but he’s convinced Dundee United won’t be going out of the Premiership.
The Tannadice side remain bottom of the pile after going down 3-1 at Hearts to make it three defeats in a week. Fletcher was glad to banish his spot-kick blues with a goal in Gorgie but he admitted results and misses still hurt despite all his years in the game.
The Scotland star said: “I was disappointed on Wednesday night. I didn’t leave the house the next day. A missed penalty is a hard one.
I didn‘t see my wee boy after the game because he was in bed. But he came in from school the next day and said, ‘I feel sorry for you’.
