St Mirren boss Stephen Robinson would be a perfect candidate for the vacant Aberdeen job. That's according to Open Goal Podcast host Simon Ferry, who believes the Buddies head coach would suit the Dons' philosophy.Both Jim Goodwin and Stephen Glass have come and gone within the past two years after Derek McInnes enjoyed a largely successful eight-year tenure in the Granite City.
It's been six weeks since Goodwin was axed amid a dismal run of form, with former star Barry Robson currently leading an interim coaching team at Pittodrie.Football transfer guru Fabrizio Romano recently reported Robinson was attracting interest from teams in Scotland and across the border, with his side pushing for a top-six Premiership finish.
New Aberdeen CEO Alan Burrows worked with Robinson at Motherwell, and Ferry reckons the Northern Irishman could be someone Dave Cormack could go for.
He told Grosvenor Sport: "Aberdeen were successful under Derek McInnes. They then hired Stephen Glass who couldn’t get the results.
