It’s my favourite and it sort of reflects what’s going on inside myself,’ he chimes in his Chicago accent as the waitress slips his wine across the bar. ‘Thank ya, love.’ Here in London the actor and former pop icon is just David, the local with no frills.
He doesn’t care about being recognised or getting stopped in the street by excitable fans of his TV or theatre shows, films or music. ‘People see me, but I’m just Dave.
