The series was created by self-proclaimed Star Wars superfan Leslye Headland, but even those credentials couldn’t save the show from cancellation.
The Acolyte was met with mixed reviews from the very first episode, though some fans liked the grey areas that Headland explored through her characters.
However, other Star Wars fans thought it went against the typical good and evil narrative and, even more, they weren’t happy with the deepening of the force mythology.
