Tributes have been paid to Jill Jacobson after it was announced the actress had sadly died aged 70. Jill - whose career included roles in the Star Trek franchise - died in California following a long-running health issue on December 8, it has been confirmed.
Her friend Dan Harary told the Hollywood Reporter : "She will be deeply missed by numerous relatives, friends and her beloved dogs, Benny and Kowalski." As reported by the Mirror, Jill appeared in a number of TV shows and several films over the course of her decades-long career.
Her first on-screen role was as the title character in the supernatural film Nurse Sherri (1977), which followed hospital nurse Sherri Martin, who becomes possessed by a spirit.
Jill later played scheming Erin Jones on the CBS soap opera Falcon Crest, with her introduced in 1985. She is credited as having featured in more than 20 episodes before making her final appearance on the show in 1987.
