Staff subjected to 'vile racist abuse' after incident outside Dundee takeaway

Scots takeaway staff have been threatened and subjected to 'vile racist abuse' following an incident outside their workplace.

A member of the public was approached outside Tasty Point takeaway on Fintry Road, Dundee at about 7pm on Monday, February 28.

The man was threatened and racially abused by two men and staff members from inside the takeaway went outside to assist him.Police Scotland confirmed that the staff members were also threatened with violence and subjected to vile racist abuse.The two suspects then left and headed off down Fintry Road in the direction of Forfar Road or Morrisons on Afton Way.Police Scotland are now keen to trace the two men in connection with the incident.

The first has been described as Asian, in his 40s, about 6ft tall, of a stocky build and bald. He was wearing a blue t-shirt and blue jeans.The second suspect has been described as white, aged between 18-25, about 5ft 6ins tall with longer brown hair and facial stubble.He spoke with a local accent but it is unknown what he was wearing at the time.Officers would also like to speak with a potential witness who made herself known to staff immediately after the incident.She told them that she had filmed it on her phone.Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or speak to any officer., quoting incident no.
