Stacey Solomon has told of her shock after a mouse sneaked into her home and left a trail of footprints on her kitchen floor.

The Loose Women star, who has been doing up her beloved Pickle Cottage, spotted the prints when she had gone into the kitchen to admire her shiny floor.

She was horrified to see what she thought was a crack – then realised that the marks had actually been made by a furry invader.The TV star wrote on her Instagram Story: "OMG I snuck into the kitchen because I was desperate to see the floor and I was like… OH NOOOOO what is that crack in the floor."Stacey, 32, said she thought water must be to blame so started looking for leaks or drips.She went on: "And then, I zoomed in a little bit closer and realised, it's not a crack.

They're tiny little footprints!""There is literally a mouse in the house!" she added.Sharing a snap of the tiny footprints, Stacey wrote: "I know I probs shouldn't be laughing but why do I look at them and think they're adorable."She jokingly added that her cat would be "over the moon" if he realised there was a critter in the house.The star – who has four children - then shared that her youngest son Rex had made the mouse nice and welcome.The two year old created a little house for the creature, with a teeny toy bed and a chair set up on the floor."Welcome home Mourice," said Stacey."Rexy wanted to make a house for Mourice (that's what we've named the mouse)."But she assured her followers: "Don't worry we won't keep him as a pet."If I see him and find him we will set him free."
