As a busy mum-of-five gradually returning to work, Stacey Solomon admits it takes a “whole village” to manage the demands of juggling her home and professional lives.
The 33-year-old, who gave birth to surprise baby daughter Belle in February, exclusively reveals to OK! that she relies heavily on the “massive family network” around her to cope with her day-to-day routine.
Sons Zachary, 14, and 10-year-old Leighton, from previous relationships, and of course husband Joe Swash are all called upon to do their bit as she admits that even as someone famous for their amazing organisational hacks and sorting skills, she needs plenty of help when it comes to keeping her busy routine on track. “The older ones [children] help - and Joe is amazing,” she says. “We’ve got a massive family network, my mum and dad, his [Joe’s] mum, sisters, brothers all chip in – we couldn’t do it without them.They say it takes a village and we need the whole village!” Stacey, who also shares Rex, four, and two-year-old Rose with former EastEnders actor Joe, returned to work from maternity leave in April, telling her fans at the time, “‘I’ve got my first day back next week and it’s like the craziest job ever.” The star’s Channel 4 makeover show Brickin’ It is in the pipeline and her latest Primark kids’ range has been rolled out across stores nationwide.
But modest as ever, Stacey smiles, “I am just so grateful to still be working!” While her success is reaching new heights, Stacey is not the only breadwinner in her family, of course, with Joe, 41, recently taking part in I’m A Celebrity: South Africa, much to his wife’s delight. “Oh, he was unbelievable.
