Stacey Solomon's plan to extend £1.3m Pickle Cottage 'rejected' by council

Stacey Solomon's plans to have an extension built at her Essex mansion was rejected by the council, according to reports.The Loose Women panellist, 33, and her husband Joe Swash, 41, reportedly applied for permission to build a single-storey extension at their £1.3 million family home, but the council denied the couple's plans as their property dates back to the 16th century and the council is keen for it to not be modified.

Documents allegedly show Stacey and Joe initially applied for planning permission in February 2022, but their plea was rejected.The couple's second application was reportedly denied five weeks ago, reports The Sun.

OK! has contacted Stacey Solomon's representative for comment. Stacey and Joe moved into Pickle Cottage in 2021 and the mum-of-five has spent the last two years completely transforming the property.

She's documented the entire renovation on her Instagram account, which boasts over 5 million followers, and in her book, Tap to Tidy at Pickle Cottage.
