Stacey Chanelle Claire Solomon (born 4 October 1989) is an English singer and media personality. Get Me Out of Here!. Her debut single, a cover of "Driving Home for Christmas", was released on 19 December 2011. Solomon then released her debut album Shy on 18 April 2015. In September 2016, she began appearing as a panellist on Loose Women and in November of the same year she presented the I'm a Celebrity spin-off series I'm a Celebrity: Extra Camp.
Stacey Solomon has addressed comments she made about the Royal Family after clips resurfaced online following the death of the Queen.
In a debate on a 2018 episode of Loose Women, on which Stacey is a panellist, the 32 year old mum of four said that she "'doesn't get the obsession" with the royals and questioned why we "pay a contribution towards them".
After the clip reared its head in the aftermath of the late Queen's death on 8 September, Stacey explained her comments to The Guardian, she said it was hard to see them resurface during the period of mourning for the late monarch.
Stacey said: "I have nothing against the monarchy and the Queen seemed like a lovely lady, but I don't understand why we pay a contribution to one of the wealthiest families in the world." She continued: "Some of our kids weren't even getting school lunches, and to know a huge amount of money is going to somebody who doesn't need it, I just couldn't get my head around that.
