The Buddies are understood to be one of several clubs interesting in snapping up the 21-year-old after he was told his contract with the Hoops, which runs out at the end of the season, wouldn’t be renewed.The Daily Record report that Robertson was told by Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou he has no future at the club, despite being part of the squad that travelled to Australia for the Sydney Super Cup last month.
The youngster has enjoyed successful loan spells as Gillingham, Doncaster Rovers and Crewe so far in his fledgling career and already has a host of English League One admirers.
Former Celtic icon Scott Brown is understood to be interested in bringing him to Fleetwood Town, where he is now manager, but Saints boss Stephen Robinson is reportedly keen to persuade Robertson his future lies in Paisley.
Robertson will decide on his next club in the coming weeks, with the Saints having also been credited with an interest in a loan move for young Leeds United midfielder Alfie McCalmont.
