Jim Goodwin admits the international break came at a good time for his Buddies.St Mirren were winless in four games before the latest Premiership hiatus, while several of his squad were pushing through the pain barrier to make it onto the pitch.The Saints manager hopes his rejuvenated side will be up for the challenge when in-form Livingston visit Paisley this afternoon.Goodwin told Express Sport: “The break probably came at a good time for us, being honest.“We went into that St Johnstone game missing one or two with two or three starting that weren’t 100 per cent.“It was a good break and the lads have come back in, trained well and are all very excited for the game at the weekend.“It’s a massive game against a very tough opposition.
