St Cuthbert Wanderers boss Ian Clark has called on his side to be more switched on after the break. The Kirkcudbright side went down 3-0 at Nithsdale Wanderers – with goals just before and just after half-time costly.
Clark said: “The lads battled hard but lost a goal five minutes before half-time. They go out in the second half and within the first few minutes they score. “It’s the story of the season - the statistic for the number of goals we’ve conceded in the first minutes of the second half is ridiculous and it’s something we need to address. “How do we tighten up and come out switched on?
That’s something me and the coaching team need to make tweaks to. “The lads battled hard but it’s silly goals for me and ones we probably shouldn’t ship.” Nithsdale led at the break thanks to a goal from Callum Gilmour.
Scott Milligan added the second just after half-time with Sean Mckenzie rounding off the scoring. Saints now have just two games left this season with Clark already looking ahead to the new campaign.
