Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's new £30million business partner Spotify paid less than £1million in tax last year from its key UK arm.

While Spotify is shelling out millions to big name stars such as Harry and Meghan after amassing global revenues of £6billion last year, Spotify UK paid £994,152 to the UK Treasury.

Its biggest signing is Joe Rogan, who is getting £85million for The Joe Rogan Experience. Former First Lady Michelle Obama has also signed a multi-million deal with the company.

The firm had a turnover of £90.3m in the UK with a pre-tax profit of £6.3m. Sales reported in its UK arm paled in comparison to the £434m in revenue reported by the US parent company.
