SPFL chiefs have hit back at Rangers over their attack on the league’s governance and challenged the Ibrox side to provide proof of their claims - or retract their allegations.
In an explosive statement from Ibrox this afternoon, Rangers demanded SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster is suspended and an independent investigation launched into the handling of the SPFL vote over the remainder of the season.
Rangers say they have been given evidence via a whistleblower that 'raises serious concerns' about the SPFL's handling of their voting process.They slammed the governance of the league body as “farcical” and claimed an “undemocratic culture” has existed in the organisation “for far too long”.
