Special ‘The Price Is Right’ tribute to Bob Barker to air on CBS days after his death

died on Aug. 26 at the age of 99, with a special tribute to the longtime host of “The Price Is Right.”A special one-hour tribute episode to Barker and his career will air on the network on Thursday at 8 p.m.

She continued: “Bob was one-of-a-kind; he’ll be remembered as an extraordinary host, a devoted animal activist, and, as he would put it, ‘a loyal friend and true.’ We’re so pleased to be able to salute his many accomplishments and honor his memory in this way.”Barker cemented his TV legacy when he became the host of the game show in 1972.The big screen event will showcase “priceless” on-camera moments throughout Barker’s 50-plus year career as the show’s “master of ceremonies.”The special will feature memorable moments, like introducing the game “Plinko” to contestants for the very first time and more.Barker had emceed the trivia show from 1972 to 2007 and often ended his shows by saying the line: “Help control the pet population.
