The popular shapewear company has debuted several red billboards in Los Angeles Tuesday that read, “The Most Worn Designer on the Red Carpet for 25 Years” under the ubiquitous “For Your Consideration” phrase above it.
The cheeky campaign’s five billboards, which were created in collaboration with outdoor advertising company Milkmoney, are located at De Longpre and Highland, Hollywood and Gower, Hollywood and orange, Pico and Fairfax and Sunset Highland.
They’re situated in areas in which Spanx believes have the best potential to reach celebrity stylists and other industry insiders.
Oprah Winfrey and Reese Witherspoon are investors in Spanx. Celebrity fans include Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Garner, Addison Rae, Gayle King, Mindy Kaling, Hota Kotb, Adele, Karlie Kloss, Hota Kotb and Katy Perry, among others. “In its 25th anniversary year, Spanx is celebrating its legacy for delivering confidence all year long, whether dressing for the red carpet or everyday life,” the company said in a statement Tuesday. “The FYC campaign not only cements Spanx as a true disruptor in the fashion industry but also underscores the brand’s core message: standout style and comfort go hand in hand, made possible through the power of the SPANXeffect.
