Spandau Ballet's Tony Hadley shrinks by 2ins as his spine 'fuses and compresses'

It really is True... Tony Hadley has shrunk by two inches. The pop star stood a proud 6ft 4in tall when he had a 1980 smash with To Cut A Long Story Short.

But today the former Spandau Ballet frontman is just 6ft 2in - and blames shunts he’s suffered in his hobby of stock-car racing.

Tony said four of his vertebrae were “fusing and compressing together”. He added: “I’ve done some stock car racing and got T-boned a few times – when they come at you from three angles – and basically it compresses your spine. “I got compressed and now I’ve lost about an inch-and-a-half off my height.
