The director of the original Space Jam has slammed the newly released sequel to the film. Joe Pytka is adamant the 1996 film, starring Michael Jordan, which drew parallels with the basketball star's personal life, is far better than the sequel.
The movie was released as he neared retirement following a glittering career with the Chicago Bulls. And Pytka has now took aim at Space Jam: A New Legacy, saying the premise of his movie 'resonated more than the new one and that LeBron James was not as good a lead character as Michael'.
He told TMZ: "The truth is that LeBron ain't Michael." He added that Jordan wasn't only the best basketball player at the time but the biggest celebrity in the world.
