A window cleaner has been hailed a "true hero" after tackling the knifeman who killed three children at a Taylor Swift dance party.
Joel Verite, 25, bravely stepped in after he heard a woman screaming as he drove past the scene of the incident in Southport on Monday (July 29).
Friends said he rushed to help the woman, who told him: "Forget about me, there's a fella in there stabbing kids". Colleagues of Joel, a personal trainer and new dad, told how he bravely jumped on the killer with police officers before carrying some of the victims away from the scene. I think he's truly displayed how much of a fantastic person he is, within that split second he's decided what he's going to do." "I sent him a message to say I hope he was ok, he said on Instagram he was a little bit overwhelmed.
