Southampton break silence as Manchester United approach for Jason Wilcox is confirmed

The Reds have approached the Championship promotion hopefuls about bringing Wilcox to Old Trafford as the club's new technical director, just nine months after he joined Southampton.
The 53-year-old was recommended to United by incoming CEO Omar Berrada, who worked with Wilcox during his time as Manchester City's academy director between 2017 and 2023.
As reported by the Manchester Evening News, United are adamant they have followed the correct procedure in their approach for Wilcox and have offered the equivalent of a full year's pay as compensation for the former Blackburn Rovers, Leeds United and Leicester City winger.
