South Lanarkshire communities can take part in a national campaign to clean up their local areas.The Spring Clean Scotland campaign is a month-long project, lasting until April 17 and organised by Keep Scotland Beautiful.Each year, Keep Scotland Beautiful spreads awareness of litter across the country and asks volunteers to help clear up their local areas.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Locals can get involved by organising a litter pick in their area, guidance and information on how to set up an event can be found on the Keep Scotland Beautiful website.
Residents can also join a public litter pick, these can be found on the Clean Up Scotland Map which details local events people can join.
