South Lanarkshire Council has marked Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday.On Friday (November 11), those who made the ultimate sacrifice were remembered at the Armistice Day Service in Hamilton.

Wreaths were laid at the Victoria Cross Memorial and a two-minute silence was observed following the Last Post.Provost Margaret Cooper and Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Lanarkshire Louis Munn joined Rev Ross Blackman of Hamilton Old Parish Church and military veterans for the service.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
