Son and dad who went 'joyriding' on e-scooters in smash banned from driving

“joyriding” with his dad on an electric scooter and ended up in a horror smash has been banned from driving. Keaton Day was so badly injured in the crash that he had to be transferred into a helicopter and taken to hospital by paramedics.

The 23-year-old was racing on his scooter when he smashed into the back of a moving white van, leaving him with a fractures across the left side of his face.

However, that wasn’t all he got as a result of the crash. This week at court a judged banned Day from driving for 14 months.

He also handed Keaton Day a £300 fine, before ordering him to pay £135 in costs and £34 victim surcharge after being found guilty of driving without due care or attention and other related offences.
