Social Bite, who are looking to transform a Rutherglen industrial wasteland into a village for the homeless, are encouraging Lanarkshire locals to sign up for a charity fundraiser to help support the proposal.South Lanarkshire Council and Social Bite have entered into a partnership in an innovative approach to homelessness whereby Social Bite provides temporary accommodation and support for homeless people.As a result, a planning application has been submitted for a 15-unit homeless village on Harriet Street, consisting of 15 modern, sustainable modular homes, known as Nest houses, accompanied by a dynamic community hub and outdoor gym.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
