After a six-week campaign, the SNP leadership contest is over.Humza Yousaf has been elected as the party's new leader, beating Kate Forbes and Ash Regan in the process.There has been drama and conflict since Nicola Sturgeon resigned on February 15.Here are our top five moments of the contest.Forbes announced her campaign with a slick campaign video on the morning of February 20.But just hours later her campaign was in turmoil after she admitted she would have voted against gay marriage if she had been an MSP at the time legislation was passed in a TV interview.The finance secretary said she would have voted against the landmark equalities bill "as a matter of conscience".She later said that people having children outside of wedlock was “wrong”.The statements caused a strong backlash.

Forbes lost many key supporters and it left her playing catch-up.The candidates were all seeking high-profile endorsements at the start of the contest to help boost their bids.High on the list was former Westminster leader Ian Blackford.
