Forecasters have predicted days of sleet and snow for Manchester as early as next week, with temperatures expected to drop to as low as -2.
Reports have suggested the possible upcoming bout of snow is a result of major sudden stratospheric warming. According to the seven day forecast by BBC Weather, the region could see periods of snow fall on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday next week.
