‘SNL’ Sends Up Fox’s ‘The Floor’ With Shane Gillis Not Recognizing Any Famous Black People

Saturday Night Live set its sights on The Floor, Fox’s new game show hosted by Rob Lowe that has contestants facing off in a series of quiz duels.

On SNL‘s version, tonight’s host Shane Gillis played the defending champion David, who triumphed in the first round by correctly identifying a glass of orange juice.

But when it came time to identify famous faces, Willis was continually stumped by a series of pictures featuring Black politicians and personalities.

As pictures of Frederick Douglass, Martin Luther King, Maya Angelou, Colin Powell and Aretha Franklin flashed on the screen, Willis was clueless and said things like “I know him but I’m nervous” or I’m a huge fan of hers” without saying their actual names.
