Saturday Night Live‘s Christmas episode recreated a Christmas classic — with a twist (and a cameo by Lucy Liu). In a cut-for-time sketch, host Martin Short transformed into the Grinch for a retelling of Dr.

Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas. The story stayed on track until the Grinch, whose heart grew three sizes, went up the ladder to help Cindy Lou Who put a big star on top of Whoville’s Christmas tree.

However, he dropped it, and one gruesome accident led to another, with the Grinch inadvertently killing Cindy Lou’s parents, among others.

Upset, she called upon her sister, Lucy Liu Who. Channeling her character O-Ren Ishii from Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill, Liu pulled a sword and exacted revenge on the Grinch — Tarantino style.
