Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte might be 'renting a flat in Shoreditch' as the royals could consider moving away from palaces in the future, according to an author.
Kate Williams suggests that the family's 30 residences could be further opened to the public to generate funds for the Royal collection.
Historically, Queens have shown more preference for palaces, while Kings have viewed them as "stages for brilliance", says Williams.
Queen Elizabeth II was known to have a soft spot for both Windsor Castle, in Berkshire, and Sandringham in Norfolk. However, her absolute favourite was said to be the Balmoral Estate in Scotland.
