Cast members of cult Channel 4 TV series Skins have made explosive accusations against the show suggesting female cast members were lined up in bikinis, had their bodies critiqued, and were ordered to skip meals to lose weight.
Laya Lewis, 29, and April Pearson, 32 – who were both teenagers when the worked on the series – have hit out at the show which was famous for it’s raunchy content of teenage sexuality and drug taking.
The stars have claimed they felt “unprotected” during their time on the show – with April playing Michelle Richardson in the first two seasons of the show between 2007 and 2008, and Laya playing Olivia Malone in seasons five and six in 2011 and 2012.
