Six people rushed to hospital after two car crash on major Scots road

Six people have been rushed to hospital after a two car crash on a major Scots road. Emergency services raced to the scene on the A85, near Dunollie Road, Oban at around 6.15pm on Tuesday, May 3.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) dispatched two appliances to the location, close to Pennyfuir Farm. It is understood the Scottish Ambulance Service were also present and rushed six people to hospital for treatment.

The road remains closed in both directions to allow for recovery as of 8.44pm, according to Traffic Scotland. An SFRS spokesperson said: "We were called to an RTC on Dunollie Road, Oban at 6.18pm today and dispatched two appliances."Crews have now left the scene."Oban Rds (Retained Firefighters) tweeted: "Crew paged at 18.19hrs along with wholetime colleagues from Oban Fire Station to a multi- vehicle RTC on the A85 near to Pennyfuir farm."Crews assisted our colleagues from Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service." A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to reports of a two car crash on the A85, near Dunollie Road, Oban, around 6.15pm on Tuesday, 3 May, 2022.
