A Mexican boxer is in a critical condition after a fight in Glasgow. Alejandra Ayala was put in an induced coma after losing to Scots boxer Hannah Rankin at the city's OVO Hydro last week.
The 31-year-old is currently "in an induced coma after undergoing two surgeries for a subdural hematoma" according to Mexican newspaper El Diario.
Fighter Alejandra was treated by medics in the ring before being rushed to hospital where she was placed in an induced coma and endured two operations for the hematoma.
It's reported that she is 'under observation and stable'.The hospital she was taken to was not disclosed.Her opponent, Hannah, is the current WBA and IBO champion.
