Six million people to get £150 DWP cost of living payment from June

More than six million people across the country are set to get a one-off payment worth £150 from June. The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) will issue the Disability Cost of Living payment between June 20 and July 4.

It comes after a previously disability-targeted cost of living payment was issued last September. In order to be eligible for the automatic payment, claimants must receive money from a qualifying disability payment.

However, if claimants are still waiting on their benefit eligibility or entitlement to a disability benefit, they may still receive the extra cash but at a slightly later date, according to the DWP. In order to receive the Disability Cost of Living Payment, claimants must be receiving payments from one of the following benefits: The DWP confirmed that if a claimant is receiving a qualifying benefit from the Ministry of Defence and one from the DWP, the cost of living payment will come from the DWP alone.
