Six men and one woman from Manchester were arrested on Wednesday morning (August 3) following an investigation into drugs supply between the region and Whitby.
The major investigation was launched in December last year by detectives from the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit and other local police forces, following community concerns about drugs supply and the use of firearms in the area.

Three other men from Whitby were also arrested for a variety of offences including conspiracy to supply cocaine and cannabis, money laundering and firearms offences.
