Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.

He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.

Harry was educated at Wetherby School, Ludgrove School, and Eton College. He spent parts of his gap year in Australia and Lesotho. He then underwent officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He was commissioned as a cornet (second lieutenant) into the Blues and Royals, serving temporarily with his brother Prince William, and he completed his training as a troop leader. In 2007–08, he served for over ten weeks in Helmand, Afghanistan, but was pulled out after an Australian magazine revealed his presence there. He returned to Afghanistan for a 20-week deployment in 2012–13 with the Army Air Corps. He left the army in June 2015.

A 79-year-old Welsh composer is shutting down some wild rumours. On Saturday, Sir Karl Jenkins was in the audience at King Charles coronation, and he soon became the subject of a conspiracy theory that he was actually Meghan Markle in disguise. But the composer took to TikTok this week to dispel the rumours, telling followers, “I understand there has been a lot of interest in me since I appeared at the coronation of King Charles III.” “I was there because I’d written some music, for the service really.

I was quite surprised that some people thought I was Meghan Markle in disguise,” he continued, laughing. “Someone wrote I was there to steal the crown jewels.
