Jackie Annett, 43, from Bristol, had built up up thousands of pounds worth of debt in her 20s as she socialised and dined out in trendy bars. “In my late 20s, my ex-husband and I were in £16,000 worth of debt," Jackie told Jam Press. "We worked hard, partied hard and shopped hard." But things changed fast when she found out she was pregnant with her daughter, Daisy, who is now 13. “At the time, I was eligible for £100 a week maternity pay and I just remember thinking 'how the hell will we manage?'," she said. “The first time I had a proper look at our debts I burst into tears.
