Singer Will Young said he has been thinking about becoming an MP as he spoke about his fears of being gay in Tory Britain. The popstar said he felt that Rishi Sunak was taking the country backwards after years of progress on equality and that people are ready for a change with a new leadership.
In an interview with Liz Bates on the podcast Pod Save the UK, the musician expressed an interest in joining the political race.
He said: "I've become more hopeful. I really am actually. I had a moment yesterday or the day before and I was like, I might become an MP.
